Choose a network dentist and save

Our PPO network offers our members cost savings and broad access to dentists in Michigan and nationwide.

You'll have the lowest out-of-pocket costs when you choose PPO network dentists because they agree to give Blues members a substantial discount off their usual charges for both covered and noncovered services. You may have a higher level of coverage for some services when you see a PPO dentist.

PPO dentists file claims for you and receive payment directly from us. You’re responsible only for paying your copayment, deductible, and any fees for noncovered services.

What if your dentist isn’t in our PPO network?

That’s OK. Most Blue Dental plans give you the freedom to choose any licensed dentist anywhere.

Even if your dentist isn’t in the PPO network, he or she probably participates with us on a per-claim basis as part of our Blue Par Select program. Blue Par Select dentists file claims for you and receive payment directly from us. They agree to accept our approved amount as a payment in full for covered services, which means you’re responsible only for your copay, deductible, and any fees for noncovered services. Blue Par Select dentists agree to give Blues members a discount off their usual charges for both covered and noncovered services.

Find a PPO network or participating dentist

Be sure to check before every visit whether your dentist participates with BCBSM.

Members who choose a dentist who does not participate in our PPO network or with Blue Par Select are responsible for any difference between the Blues’ approved amount and the dentist’s charge, in addition to any copay or deductible that may be required by the plan.
